Quick answer

Custom game and anime-style figures are produced from customer-provided 3D files or approved design references. The route is selected per project — SLA for fine surface detail, FDM for larger or budget-led models, SLS/MJF for functional or batch parts. Finish, quantity and acceptance criteria are defined before production; protected characters require the customer's authorization.

Custom Character Models We Can Help Develop

Game characters

Character statues, busts and display models for game studios and crowdfunding rewards.

Original anime-style figures

Original character concepts with anime styling, produced from approved designs.

Tabletop models

Miniatures, terrain and accessories for tabletop game programs.

Bases & accessories

Complex bases, interchangeable parts and display accessories evaluated with the main model.

Projects are reviewed for printability, structure, finish and quantity before quoting. Each scope item is confirmed against the actual capability available for the project.

Choose the Right 3D Printing Process for Your Figure

ProcessBetter suited forLimits to confirm
SLA / DLPSmall and medium display models, detailed characters, fine-surface prototypesResin properties, support contact points, post-curing; slender parts can be fragile
FDM / FFFBudget-led concept models, larger shells, structural validationVisible layer lines and small-feature limits affect display quality
SLS / MJFComplex structures, durable accessories, repeatable functional partsPowder surface texture differs from smooth resin; post-processing still needed
Molding (where applicable)Stable designs needing larger volumesTooling investment, lead time, material and structure reviewed separately
Materials are matched to the process: SLA/DLP uses compatible photopolymer resin; FDM uses thermoplastic filament; SLS/MJF commonly uses PA11/PA12 polymer powders. PVC or molding-grade ABS cannot be treated as interchangeable with these printing processes — each material claim is confirmed against the actual process and data sheet.

From 3D File to Approved Prototype

01

File & printability review

Mesh integrity, scale, wall thickness, detail risk and support requirements checked before printing.

02

Process & build plan

Process, orientation, splitting, supports and expected surface state agreed with the project.

03

Prototype

First sample produced, checked, and feedback applied through agreed revision rounds.

04

Approval

Approved sample and color reference become the basis for finishing and batch production.

Printability review covers slender structures — hair, fingers, weapons, horns, wings — fabric folds, facial detail, splitting positions, hollowing and paint boundaries. Risks are assessed before printing; geometry may be adjusted or split where the design requires it.

Surface Finishing, Painting and Assembly

Available states

  • Unpainted — cleaned and support-removed
  • Surface-prepared — sanded and primed for painting
  • Painted — hand-painted to approved color reference
  • Assembled — multi-part figures fitted and checked

What is confirmed per project

  • Finish scope and quoted cost
  • Color boundaries and reference
  • Assembly and base stability
  • Protective packaging for transport

How We Check Figure Quality

CheckWhat is verified
Form & poseOverall shape, pose and proportions against the approved reference
Visible surfaceSurface detail, print artifacts and finish state on visible faces
Small featuresSlender parts checked for integrity and breakage risk
ColorPainted colors matched to the approved reference
AssemblyPart fit, joints and base stability verified
PackagingProtection checked for the planned transport route

Prototype or Small-Batch Production?

Single prototype
For design validation and appearance approval. The model is reviewed, printed, finished and approved before any batch commitment.
Small batch
For limited runs, rewards and promotional models. Consistency is controlled through the approved sample, color reference and acceptance checklist.

Volume, design maturity, painting complexity and whether molding becomes relevant decide the route. No fixed MOQ or unit price is published — each project is quoted after file and finish review.

IP Rights, Confidential Files and Product Requirements

We welcome original character concepts and properly authorized character projects. Before manufacturing a protected game or anime character for commercial use, we may ask for confirmation that the customer has the necessary rights or authorization.

Customer design files and project references are handled confidentially under the agreed project terms. Public case studies or production images are shared only with appropriate permission.

Anime-style models are not automatically children's toys. If the product is intended for children or a regulated market, applicable toy safety requirements are confirmed separately — see our custom 3D printed toys → page for toy programs, packaging and compliance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you print a custom character from an STL file?
Yes, after a printability review covering mesh integrity, size, wall thickness, detail risk and supports. Whether the file can print directly is confirmed during review.
Can you create a 3D model from reference images?
Where modeling service is available for the project. Creating a new model from references is different from replicating a protected character — rights are confirmed first.
Can you provide unpainted and painted figures?
Yes. Unpainted, surface-prepared, painted and assembled states are offered where the capability is confirmed, each quoted separately.
Which 3D printing process is best for anime-style figures?
SLA suits fine surface detail and display quality; FDM suits larger or budget-led models; SLS/MJF suits durable or batch parts. The choice follows size, geometry, quantity and finish.
Can a prototype be used to approve small-batch production?
Yes. The approved sample, color reference and acceptance checklist control consistency. If the route later changes to molding, material and finish are re-validated.
How is the price of a custom figure calculated?
Complexity, size, process, part count, surface preparation, painting, assembly, packaging and quantity all affect price. No unit price is given before file and finish review.
Can you manufacture copyrighted game or anime characters?
Only where the customer holds the appropriate rights or authorization, or provides original designs. Fan-made or downloaded models are not treated as automatically manufacturable.
What should I send for a quote?
File or reference images, target size, quantity, intended use, process preference, paint and packaging requirements, target market and planned delivery date.
