Yes. 6061-T6 is one of the best aluminum alloys for CNC machining. It machines cleanly at high speeds, produces excellent surface finishes and holds tight tolerances down to ±0.005 mm.
Can 6061 aluminum be anodized?
Yes. 6061 anodizes very well. Type II anodizing adds color and corrosion resistance; Type III hard anodizing creates a dense, wear-resistant surface ideal for sliding or abrasive applications.
